What We Did
This two-bedroom, two-bath bungalow in Miami Beach is a vacation home for a busy entrepreneur. “We wanted to make the space feel lighter and brighter. We went with a simplified palette evocative of the beach: weathered grey oak floors and simple white walls. This serves as the perfect foil for the commissioned wall panels. In the bathrooms, we choose a simple black and white palette to ground the rooms and differentiate them from the rest of the house where there is a lot of color,” says Greg Dyer of Element Design Group.
Another unique detail in the apartment is the custom designed divider panel in the entryway. “You don’t want to give away everything the apartment has to offer when you open the door–so we installed a panel to define the space and create a sense of discovery.”
